Robertshaw® Hot Surface Ignition Control Debuts
Carol Stream, Illinois, USA - Dec. 9, 2004 - Invensys Controls today introduced a
new Robertshaw® hot surface ignition (HSI) control, providing heating contractors with an alternative source for replacement parts on residential gas furnaces.
The new control, Robertshaw part number 695-200,
is a drop-in replacement for six parts offered by Rheem and United Technologies
and can also replace the HSI control on other brands.
“Invensys
is bringing heating contractors a reliable, high-quality and fully- compatible
replacement ignition control board with this integrated furnace control at a
lower cost,” says Debra Reaves, Industry Manager, Heating.
The
control board works with standard 120 VAC Silicon Carbide hot surface igniter
elements and meets or exceeds OEM requirements.
Features of the new unit include constant
microprocessor monitoring of the thermostat, inducer pressure switch, thermal
limits and flame current inputs. The software continually verifies program code
integrity and general microprocessor health to insure the highest level of safety.
Green and yellow lights display industry-familiar error blink codes to help
diagnose field problems.
The new Robertshaw part is a replacement for the
following part numbers from United Technologies: 1012-925A, 1012-925B and
1012-925C; and these parts from Rheem: 62-24268-01, 62-24268-02 and 62-24268-03.
It also may replace HSI control
on the following brands, pending verification of system requirements: RUDD, WeatherKing,
Heat Controller, Dayton, Union Gas, Zephyr and Corsaire.
